What is CDSCO?

CDSCO is the Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation. It is the FDA of India. This is a government organization which is responsible for control of manufacture and import of pharmaceutical, cosmetics and medical devices. It is headed by DCGI ( Drugs Controller General of India)

Situated:- Its headquarters are in New Delhi. It has 4 zonal offices which are Ghaziabad for North India, Chennai for South India, Kolkata for East India and Mumbai for West India. It  has various sub zonal offices like Jammu, Baddi, Indore, Ahmedabad etc. 

All pharmaceutical industries who want to start Manufacturing of Medicine are jointly inspected by Drugs Inspectors of CDSCO as well State Drugs Inspectors. License to manufacture Class C & D Medical Devices is granted by CDSCO. License to import Medicines, Cosmetics & Medical Devices is also granted by CDSCO. Any Medicines, Cosmetics & Medical Devices entering India through any port have to take NOC from Drugs Inspector or Assistant Drugs Controller based at each port. 

Schedule of CDSCO For Public dealing

CDSCO office works 5 days a week for public dealing. It is closed on Saturday and Sunday. If any one has any query then he can meet PRO ( public relation officer) who sits in the CDSCO office or can call at 011-23216367 or 23502915 ( Extension 102) or mail to startupinnov@cdsco.nic.in

                                                           Days are fixed for each type of query you want to ask from PRO. you can meet PRO as per following schedule. This schedule may change so be updated by calling them before going to meet.
