Uttarakhand Authorities Make U-Turn on Ramdev Drugs Ban

On November 9 Friday, the state authority ordered the stopped production of BPgrit, Madhugrit, Thyrogrit, Lipidom, and Eyegrit Gold tablets. But on Saturday, 10 November Uttarakhand drug controller GCS Jangapangi said there was “no ban on the manufacture of five drugs” made by Divya Pharmacy,  a part of Pantajali Group.

Jangapangi said, “There is no Deficiency in the manufacturing of drugs. They are being manufactured as per the license granted to them”.

Uttarakhand Drug Controller Dr. GCS Jangapangi, who earliers said that they have asked Divya to stop production till testing of the drugs is completed but in the new statement, he said he has asked Medicine Manufacturer to submit some documents. The documents are not yet received. Once those documents are received then they will verify them. If anything non-compliance is found then they will inform the drug’s manufacturer i.e. Divya pharmacy Meanwhile, in a statement  on Saturday Patanjali said, “Uttarakhand government accepted the error and revoked the ban on all five medicines.” It has come as a relief to the biggest Ayurvedic manufacturer in India.
