Tata Elxsi, renowned worldwide for its expertise in design and technology services, has joined forces with DENSO Robotics Europe and AAtek to unveil a newly established ‘Robotics and Automation Innovation Center’ at their Frankfurt location. This innovative facility is poised to shape the future of robotics automation in industries such as medical devices, pharmaceuticals, life sciences, and food technology.
This advanced lab, designed for both prototype creation and comprehensive development, serves as a pivotal hub for research and development. It aims to advance modular automation, speed up the product development cycle, and simplify maintenance processes, addressing the global need for advanced automation solutions. Highlights include live demonstrations featuring cutting-edge modular robotics in environments like cell/tissue culture and sterilized settings.
The center focuses on numerous strategic areas, employing AI-driven analytics for tailored medicine solutions, automated handling of cell cultures under sterile conditions, liquid handling, dispensing technologies, hospital laboratory automation, drug discovery, bioprocess development, and diagnostic procedures. Services offered include product design, application and platform engineering, as well as regulatory compliance support.
Intended to boost regional innovation, the lab extends access to researchers and students from the Frankfurt Innovation Centre (FIZ) and burgeoning startups in the Hessen area. By combining advanced technology with extensive automation expertise, this lab offers clients a collaborative platform to innovate, evaluate, and implement robotic systems tailored to meet the healthcare sector’s unique regulatory and operational requirements.
The inauguration saw participation from leaders across the partnering organizations, including Tata Elxsi’s VP of Client Relationship Manjunath Kulkarni, AAtek Group’s Founder and CEO Arun Damodaran, DENSO Robotics Europe’s Head Dirk Schöffler, and Consul Commerce Bhupendra Singh Nikhurpa from the Indian Consulate in Frankfurt.
