Emoneeds Expands Workforce to Enhance Mental Health Services Throughout India

Emoneeds, a pioneering digital platform in mental health care, has revealed plans to significantly grow its workforce. This move is part of the company’s strategy to enhance its services and provide superior mental health care throughout India.

Currently, Emoneeds has 67 employees, including three on contract. By the end of 2024, the company intends to bring in eight more professionals and aims to double its overall staff count by the close of 2025. This expansion will strengthen the clinical, technological, and administrative sectors within the organization, as per their official announcement.

Promoting diverse representation within the workforce, Emoneeds currently maintains a gender-balanced team composed of 40 females and 27 males, emphasizing the company’s commitment to inclusivity and a positive work culture. The new hiring drive will address critical roles such as trainee psychologists, front-end and back-end developers (via collaborations with external partners), an administrative cum front desk executive, a graphic designer, and a data analyst. These additions are pivotal for Emoneeds to enhance its digital capabilities, improve operational workflow, and deepen its clinical knowledge as the platform responds to the increasing need for mental health care.

Co-founder & CEO, Dr. Neerja Aggarwal, emphasized, “We’re dedicated to mentoring young professionals passionate about mental health who align with our vision for the future. Our team’s expansion is a testament to our promise of fostering a collaborative workspace where every individual contributes to achieving shared goals. By enlarging our team, we’re investing in our future success, ensuring continuous delivery of innovative, compassionate care to people throughout India.”

With an initial founder-led investment of US$ 1 million, Emoneeds has established itself firmly in offering comprehensive mental health services for a variety of conditions, ranging from bipolar disorder to anxiety, depression, OCD, and schizophrenia. Merging expert clinical care with leading-edge digital approaches, the startup prioritizes preventing relapses and encouraging functional recovery for sustained patient well-being.

Since its launch, Emoneeds has facilitated over 120,000 therapy and counseling sessions in 145 towns across India. The impending workforce growth, along with the determination to double it by 2025, aims to further empower individuals in achieving improved mental health.
