Smriti College of Pharmaceutical Education in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, marked the 63rd National Pharmacy Week (NPW) with exuberant events spanning November 17 to 23, 2024.
The weeklong celebration encompassed a mix of educational, cultural, professional, and athletic activities designed to enhance student learning, ignite creativity, and foster unity. Orchestrated by Principal Dr. Neelesh Malviya, the college showcased a vibrant tapestry of events.
Igniting innovation and education, the NPW activities launched with technical events showcasing students’ academic prowess. From PowerPoint presentations to treasure hunts and equipment demonstrations, these activities saw enthusiastic participation, offering students opportunities to elevate their technical know-how and presentation skills while encouraging teamwork and analytical thinking.
Vibrant energy filled the sports field as students vied in cricket, volleyball, kabaddi, chess, carrom, and the electrifying tug-of-war contests. These competitions aimed to bolster physical fitness and camaraderie, attracting a spirited crowd to cheer on the players.
Artistic expression took center stage during the cultural portion of NPW, drawing out the artistic talents of pharmacy students. Innovative activities like Pharma Tattoo, Pharma Painting, and Pharma One-Minute Games uniquely intertwined pharmaceutical elements with traditional art. The fun fair was a hit, adding a lively ambiance to the campus celebrations.
Professional events, including a flash mob, skit, and the esteemed Pharmacist’s Oath Ceremony (POC), emphasized the critical role of pharmacists in healthcare. Hosted at “The Hub,” a corporate mall in Indore, the flash mob and skit enthralled audiences with captivating performances, reinforcing the vital contributions of pharmacists to society.
The festivities concluded with a splendid valedictory ceremony, also staged at “The Hub,” recognizing and honoring winners and runners-up of the various competitions with certificates and medals. This grand finale was a testament to the commitment and effort of the students, coordinators, and faculty members who ensured the success of the event.
