Mumbai’s Dr. Bhanuben Nanavati College of Pharmacy (BNCP), part of the SVKM group, recently hosted a successful Industry Connect Conclave. Renowned experts and leaders from the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries participated, offering valuable insights aimed at enhancing professional skills, promoting internships, and developing industry-relevant competencies among students.
This event served as a pivotal opportunity to diminish the divide between academic learning and industrial practice, equipping students with the tools needed for prosperous careers in the pharmaceutical sector.
Opening the session, BNCP’s Principal, Dr. Munira Momin, welcomed the attendees, outlining the institute’s notable achievements and setting the stage for the discussions to follow. Dr. Sujata Sawarkar, the Conclave – 2024 convener, elucidated the current employment landscape and emphasized how crucial it is to link educational institutions with industry requirements. She also urged industry representatives to share their experiences and expertise, aligning with the Government of India’s skills development initiatives.
The assembly was enriched by the contributions of esteemed industry professionals such as Dr. Parizad Elchidana and Dr. Jnanadeva Bhat from ACG-Worldwide, Indu Nambiar from Sanofi Consumer Healthcare India Ltd, Dr. Suhas Yewale from Sotax India Pvt Ltd, alongside Adity Sen Pal, Dr. Sandeep Zokande, and Sunil Jog from Indoco Remedies Ltd.
