Biocon Unveils Experience Center During 46th Founder’s Day Celebration

Biocon celebrated its 46th Founder’s Day with a host of inspiring and cohesive activities that paid tribute to its heritage, mission, and future outlook. Among the highlights was the inauguration of an Experience Centre.

The Biocon Experience Center is a tribute to the Late John Shaw, former vice chairman of Biocon Group, who played a pivotal role in the company’s development, ensuring exemplary corporate governance and contributing to the financial and strategic growth of the Group.

Festivities kicked off with the launch of the Biocon Anthem, a melody brought to life by the creativity and dedication of over 500 Bioconites worldwide. The anthem, crafted by Grammy Award-winner Ricky Kej, embodies the company’s pursuit of innovation, excellence, and a healthier world.

Following this event, Biocon Group chairperson Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw led the John Shaw Walkathon: 10 Million Steps for Cancer at Biocon Park.

Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw remarked, “On this momentous occasion of the 46th Founder’s Day at Biocon, I am immensely proud to honor our collective journey as a team committed to not just revolutionizing healthcare but also significantly contributing to nation-building. My vision when founding Biocon was to curb the brain drain and create rewarding opportunities within India.

Today, that vision is realized as we have established a global brand lauded for its research prowess, world-class manufacturing, and affordable life-saving medicines. Biocon is more than just a workplace; it’s a community that grows, dreams, and triumphs together. Let us renew our pledge to continue making a global health impact, touch lives, and forge a healthier planet,” concluded Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw.

In addition, the seventh session of the Utkarsh Leadership Talk Series was held in observance of this special day. Biocon welcomed K.N.
