The Body Shop Set to Reopen in Dutch Market

After declaring bankruptcy just last month, the ethical beauty company, The Body Shop, is preparing to make a comeback in the Netherlands. The relaunch will see at least five stores reopen under the new leadership of SHG Retail.

SHG Retail, which might expand further across the Netherlands, currently manages 21 locations in Germany, according to a report by the NL Times. There’s also a plan to reactivate the Dutch online shopping site.

The bankruptcy affected 27 stores in the region, and this acquisition is part of a broader strategy by Aurea, aiming to revitalize the brand after its UK acquisition from administrators in July.
