In conjunction with the ongoing World Ayurveda Congress (WAC) and Arogya Expo at the Parade Ground in Dehradun, a complimentary Ayush Clinic is offering free medical consultations to the public through the evening of December 15.
Operating as a public outreach effort coordinated by the Ayush Department of the Uttaranchal Government, the Outpatient (OP) Clinic creatively supports the WAC.
“More than 35 medical practitioners spanning various Ayush methodologies, including Ayurveda, Unani, and Homoeopathy, provide services at the clinic from 9 am to 5 pm daily,” according to Dr. Sudheer Sharma, a Professor at Motherhood Ayurveda Medical College Roorkee and coordinator of this public service initiative.
Experts in diverse Ayush fields, such as Panchakarma, Marma chikitsa, Nadi Raksha, Netra Rog (ophthalmology), Stree Prasootika (gynecology), Bal Rog (pediatrics), as well as Swastha Vrit, Geriatrics, Naturopathy, and Kitchen Pharmacy, are all present at the clinic.
Dr. Sharma reports an impressive initial response to the initiative with significant patient turnout on the opening day, reflecting growing public trust in Ayush wellness systems.
For those needing ongoing treatment, follow-up consultations via telephone and messaging platforms will be available post-initial diagnosis. Additionally, volunteers assist at the venue to guide attendees to the clinic.
This event represents the largest international congregation of ayurvedic practitioners, researchers, officials, diplomats, educators, and students, organized biennially by the World Ayurveda Foundation (WAF), an initiative of Vijnana Bharati. The event attracts over 5,500 participants from across India, alongside more than 350 delegates from 54 countries.
The event includes over 150 scientific sessions paired with 13 additional activities besides primary sessions.
Aligned with the theme, ‘Digital Health, An Ayurveda Perspective’, the four-day conference sets the stage for comprehensive discussions on employing modern technologies to enhance solution delivery and further develop R&D projects in Ayurveda.
