The Estée Lauder Companies has confirmed that Israel Assa, who held the position of Global President for Travel Retail Worldwide, has left the company with no prior notice. Following his role as a Strategic Advisor since June 2024, Olivier Dubos has taken up the position of Senior Vice President, General Manager, Travel Retail Global.
New Leadership
DFNI Frontier shared that Dubos, in his new capacity, will be heading the worldwide travel retail division. His schedule will involve time spent in Switzerland and Singapore, in addition to engaging with leadership teams based in New York and other international locations.
Unexplained Exit
Although no official cause for Assa’s exit was provided, Estée Lauder’s Group President for International, Peter Jueptner, commented to DFNI Frontier that Dubos brings invaluable insight into customer and traveler dynamics. His commitments include strengthening market presence, broadening product assortments, and maintaining robust connections with vital stakeholders in the APAC and China markets, which are expected to propel the Travel Retail Worldwide division into its future phase.
