Boston Scientific (NYSE: BSX) has named Kathleen Van Vlierberghe as Vice President for Peripheral Interventions in the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region. Her new role commenced on December 1, 2024. Van Vlierberghe joins this position with over 25 years of experience in the healthcare industry’s sales and marketing sectors, including a significant 19-year tenure with Marlborough, Massachusetts-headquartered Boston Scientific.
In her previous role, she spearheaded the company’s Healthcare Solutions & Partnerships (HS&P) and Inside Sales department within EMEA, focusing on devising services and solutions that tackle critical healthcare system challenges.
This strategic appointment aligns with Boston Scientific’s mission to deliver contemporary minimally invasive technologies and solutions for vascular disease and cancer treatment. Additionally, it strengthens their EMEA leadership team following the recent induction of a new regional president earlier this month.
Van Vlierberghe expressed enthusiasm about her new role, stating, “Leading the Peripheral Interventions division in EMEA is both an honor and a challenge I am eager to embrace. My association with a company known for its pioneering impact on the ways healthcare professionals diagnose and treat vascular conditions and cancer is a high point in my career, contributing towards improved patient outcomes, enhanced quality of life, and cost savings for healthcare services.
“I am eager to collaboratively engage with the Peripheral Interventions team and other colleagues at Boston Scientific to make a tangible difference in our customer services and patient care.”
