BD Names Pamela Spikner as New Chief Accounting Officer

BD (NYSE: BDX) has made public the appointment of Pamela Spikner as the senior VP, chief accounting officer, and controller, starting January 20.
Spikner’s responsibilities will include overseeing the accounting policy and financial reporting activities within BD. She will directly report to Chris DelOrefice, executive VP and CFO.
According to DelOrefice: “Pam’s leadership prowess in the realm of corporate finance and accounting, paired with her dedication to nurturing and guiding high-performing teams, has been well-proven. Her extensive 25-year expertise will be instrumental in fortifying the continued success of the finance team at BD.”
Before her role at BD, Spikner served as the chief accounting officer at R1 RCM, a firm specializing in technology-driven revenue cycle management tailored to healthcare providers. Her role encompassed financial reporting, compliance, and spearheading strategic financial initiatives. Her career history also includes significant accounting leadership roles at Exelon Corporation, Hill-Rom Holdings, and PwC.
