Bahrain Mall Unveils New Watsons Flagship Store

AS Watson and Al-Futtaim Group have celebrated the launch of Watsons’ flagship store in Bahrain’s City Centre Mall. This marks the third store opening within three months, signifying a solidifying presence in the GCC beauty retail market.

Malina Ngai, CEO of AS Watson Group, highlighted that entering Bahrain is a strategic move that strengthens their collaboration with Al-Futtaim Group. She emphasized the significance of offering advanced health and beauty products to meet the vibrant community’s rising demand.

Bahrain’s demographic, with over two-thirds of its populace aged under 35, is fuelling an increased demand for quality beauty products. The youth’s inclination towards grooming, bolstered by social media and evolving lifestyles, results in higher expenditure on personal care. Watsons identifies Bahrain as a lucrative market with expected growth, anticipating a market rise to US$38.8 million at a 5% CAGR between 2024 and 2029, fitting well into their expansion ambitions.
