Korean beauty brand Ma:nyo is celebrating the success of its flexible work schedules, a notable shift from the traditional South Korean work culture characterized by extended hours and strict commitment. Initiated approximately two years ago, this system allows the company’s 102 employees to meet a predefined core of monthly hours. Team members have the autonomy to customize their workdays, which could mean early departures for morning people or lengthier lunch breaks for those who prefer to hit the gym mid-day.
Reports from Nikkei Asia highlighted that since implementing this new structure, both employee happiness and product sales have significantly increased, marking it as a substantial achievement for the skincare enterprise.
