Traya, India’s pioneering health-tech company focusing on internal solutions for hair loss, released groundbreaking findings from an unprecedented clinical study comparing the effectiveness of Traya’s hair loss regimen to minoxidil, a widely used treatment, in addressing hair loss issues.
This six-month long study involved 135 men aged 18 to 45 and yielded significant results regarding hair density: Traya’s customized approach surpassed the effectiveness of minoxidil, achieving results three times better in combating Male Pattern Hair Loss. This discovery represents a significant shift in hair loss treatments, questioning the prevalent notion that a singular serum can adeptly tackle hair loss.
Driven by thorough research and customer-centered strategies, Traya partnered with Bengaluru’s independent MS Clinical Research Pvt Ltd to embark on the study. The objective was to debunk popular market fantasies that proclaim rapid hair loss solutions through single-use products like oils, shampoos, and serums.
The study methodically divided participants into three segments: Group A used Traya’s Customized Hair Regimen; Group B applied a 5% topical minoxidil solution; and Group C received a placebo (distilled water).
Advanced evaluation methods—such as Trichoscan Imaging, Comb Testing, Dermatological Analyses, and Self-Assessments—were deployed to authenticate the study’s efficacy metrics. By employing Trichoscan Imaging, heralded as the definitive measure for clinical outcomes in hair loss research, the study found Traya’s (Group A) plan not only superior in reducing hair fall but evidently three times more effective than standalone minoxidil (Group B).
Past reliance on misleading comb tests, which gauge temporary hair breakage rather than true follicular loss, contrasts with this comprehensive six-month trial that centered on actual hair fall minimization, establishing an elevated industry benchmark.
Structured per CTRI (Clinical Trial Registry India) and Ethics Committee protocols, the research surfaced reliable conclusions from its 135 participants. Equitably allocated into groups, accounting for issues like digestive trouble, stress, and sleep inadequacies, the study tackled a spectrum of root hair loss causes.
By merging Ayurveda with dermatological insights and a curated nutritional strategy, Traya’s Personalized Regimen addresses specific hair loss causes. The solutions demonstrated remarkable effectiveness, far outperforming minoxidil serum in crucial areas such as hair density, fall reduction, regrowth, shine, and smoothness.
Saloni Anand, co-founder of Traya, expressed, “Our customer’s needs drive all we do at Traya. Recognizing the deeply personal impact of hair loss on one’s confidence and quality of life, we sought to challenge the paradigm that minoxidil is the sole solution. We aimed for a comprehensive, efficacy-driven alternative. Our six-month research scrutinized Traya’s methodology versus minoxidil alone. Notably, we included a placebo group to ensure unbiased results. The findings validated that the Traya 3X approach is genuinely transformative, reversing genetic hair issues beyond superficial treatments by addressing core hair loss causes through a blend of Ayurveda and modern science.”
She further emphasized, “This research underscores our dedication to offering individualized, holistic care that truly matters. By fusing Ayurveda, nutrition, and dermatology, we’re keen to not only remedy hair loss but also rejuvenate self-assurance and enhance lives. Our purpose is to educate and equip individuals with knowledge and practices enabling them to take charge of their hair’s health with renewed confidence.”
