L’Oréal is proud to announce that all its operational sites within the South Asia Pacific, Middle East, and North Africa (SAPMENA) region now operate on fully renewable energy sources by the close of 2023. This achievement covers everything from manufacturing plants and distribution centers to administrative offices and a R&D facility within the Zone.
This significant step forward has been accomplished two years ahead of L’Oréal’s original goal set for 2025.
Vismay Sharma, the President of L’Oréal SAPMENA Zone, emphasized the integral role sustainability plays in the company’s growth strategy. Highlighting the Zone’s vast reach from New Zealand to Morocco, Sharma pointed out that this area is pivotal for L’Oréal’s expansion, as it is predicted to generate one out of every two new consumers in the next decade. Noting the region’s vulnerability to climate change, Sharma stressed the importance of integrating sustainable practices as L’Oréal solidifies its position as the leading name in the beauty industry.
