The Pharmaceuticals Export Promotion Council of India (Pharmexcil) is partnering with Ernst & Young (EY) to craft an all-encompassing Sectoral Manual focused on Drugs and Pharmaceutical Exports — aligning with Product Market Fit. This project seeks to offer significant insights to bolster India’s global competitiveness in the pharmaceutical sector.
To push this initiative forward, Pharmexcil has extended an invitation to pharmaceutical exporters and industry stakeholders to contribute their insights through a specialized industry questionnaire. These contributions will be vital in drafting the handbook’s preliminary version for subsequent assessment.
Raja Bhanu, Pharmexcil’s director general, highlighted the importance of this endeavour, urging participants to provide extensive feedback by answering as many queries as possible. He advised directing responses to the EY team, with copies also sent to the EP (Pharma) Division and Pharmexcil.
Emphasizing the project’s significance, he remarked, “The feedback from our member firms and industry agents is essential for the handbook to capture current market demands and trends accurately. Our collective efforts will reinforce India’s leadership in pharmaceutical exportation.”
Once finalized, the handbook will serve as a strategic asset for enterprises and policymakers, supporting the nation’s goal to enhance its global pharmaceutical market presence.
