Accenture has revealed its nomination of Masahiko Uotani and Jennifer Nason for election to its Board of Directors following their annual shareholder meeting. Uotani, who is 70, currently holds the position of Chairman and CEO at Shiseido, while 64-year-old Nason serves as Global Chair of Investment Banking at J.P. Morgan. Their nominations will appear in Accenture’s 2024 proxy statement.
If shareholders approve these nominations during the AGM in February, Uotani is set to join the Finance Committee. Nason will take up roles on both the Finance and Compensation as well as Culture & People Committees. Their addition would bring the board’s total to 11 directors.
Julie Sweet, the Chair and CEO at Accenture, commented on the nominations saying, “I am excited to welcome Uotani-san and Jennifer to our board. With deep expertise across consumer goods, marketing, management, digital innovation, and transformation, Uotani-san is a vibrant global business leader. Meanwhile, Jennifer leverages nearly four decades at J.P. Morgan to offer extensive insights into banking, capital markets, technology, and telecommunications… Their perspectives will significantly enhance our board’s ability to uphold our strategy, aiming to be the preferred reinvention partner for our clients and to deliver comprehensive value to all stakeholders.”
